If a president won with 56% of the vote it would be called a landslide. A mandate, if you will.
Of course Democrats had a lower opposition to it than republicans did.
My point was all of those demographics are all part of the whole.
I do realize that the bay area in california probably supported it. That doesn't mean no one there opposed it.

We live in a 50%+1 country. I don't think it should be this way. I think when a major policy change is proposed more than 50% should favor it. Like Florida in the marijuana law that just failed with 58% of the vote.
Obamacare never had even 50%.

no, the 60% of people who support obamacare include both those who think we should keep it as is and those who want to expand on obamacare without repealing it.
and as i recall, every single provision within obamacare was wildly popular and still is. so passing it was not against the will of the majority of the people.

It's a federal district who's leaders are elected by the rest of the country
If the people there don't like it they should move. It's not a state.

And as far as your poll, for every showing favorability, there are polls showing opposition. It depends on how the question is asked.
But every poll at time of passage was opposed.

DC is a State just a federal state .......the whole mayor and everything in there does matter for shit since congress can override the budget at anytime
the whole weed thing is done ........it will be legal but the federal government refuses to pay for it ........no shops like CO or anywhere else no rules about open shops only thing they will keep funding is medical
the simplest choice is to expand medical to include everything

the huffington post is one of the oldest papers on this side of the Atlantic the rep they have is well above reproach........have a look at their reports on a news story compared to some others ........they go into more detail most of the time more then any of the others
Cnn again my point is proven they will do news reports ..........not just talk shows on a subject they think ppl want to watch they do have some but everything does but at least not the whole format
BBC yes they have ppl in this country but the usa goverement can not say we will pull your press pass because we do not like what u are saying about us like they did with FOX news ..............BBC is a england based different sets of rules ........and they cover everything from china to usa not just local kitty stuck in a tree or a plane into a local house
Rtv is great they will call US out on shit will point out what we said and what we did and the facts are correct ........several reporters from USA have left and joined Rtv do to the fact they were being censored here
i watch aljazea ...china tv....anything so i can hear the repeating stories and facts so i know what is really going on
but all news is twisted to fit some point of view ........the only way to get the truth is to listen to it all take what is repeated ( u see things one way i see things another way so the truth lays some where in the middle of that )
now this is all based on the idea that the ppl reporting the news are honest and not just reading something made up to cover up/ explain something
