The Battle of One Tree Hill was one of a series of conflicts that took place between European settlers and Aboriginal communities during Australia's #FrontierWars.
Led by Jaggera warrior Multuggerah (c. 1820–1846), the resistance brought together mountain Peoples from the Darling Downs and Lockyer Valley area to reclaim the lands they had been dispossessed of.
The battle began with an ambush on Meewah (Tabletop Mountain) in 1843, with warriors placing logs across the road to prevent the transport of sheep and cattle by settlers to towns beyond.
When the dray column stopped to dismantle the barricades, over 100 warriors leapt from their concealment and attacked. Surprised, the settlers turned and ran, leaving the bullocks and drays.
The European settlers sent out a call for reinforcements to join them on a punitive expedition and a second attempt to force their way along the track. After gathering a larger party of between 35 and 50 armed men they set off once again. They returned to the site of the ambush and from there searched for the warriors’ camp. They discovered it around dawn and attacked immediately on horseback, catching Multuggerah and his warriors by surprise.
Retreating up Meewah, to a planned defensive position, warrior men and women rained spears, rocks, and boulders down on the attacking European settlers - unable to make progress up the hill they withdrew.
Making the Battle of One Tree Hill one of the first solid defeats of white settlement in Queensland.

Who is stealing from you? It's the young white man whose concerned his culture and whiteness are becoming marginalized.

Just watched two cops search and perp walk one right into his backseat- cuffed and stuffed:clap:

Found: Illegal bad drugs for distribution along with a kit within the kit..what's in that kit? Tools to get into your house, car or anything the perp desires..

Can't wait until his mug shot becomes available for us to view along with charges- to be continued.

**GroProTip**PulseOxymeter for those with high melanin until they can reconfigure for skin type. The workaround is simple. Turn you finger to the side or insert completely upside down where there is often less melanin.

another oopsie from russia:

https://nationalpost.com/news/world/assassination-or-strange-coincidence-at-least-11-high-ranking-russians-have-died-suddenly

that's 11 so far...what i can't figure out is...is putin having them killed for disagreements we're unaware of? or is someone like the russian National Republican Army killing his most trusted advisors? or perhaps a coincidental combination of both?
either way, they should keep up the good work...less vermin to be cleaned up at the end of the war.

They are taking away our night sky.

i wonder how much something like a matte powder coat of enamel or something of the sort would help? and how it would stand up? they could make it light colored, to avoid absorbing too much heat from the sun, while not being actually reflective?

If China reacts like this is a threat, it means the idea is good for us to pursue.

Act like a normal plyer in the Global village and not like an imperialistic asshole state with a mercantilist economic policy and we will see. China did very well as part of the global community and with considerable western help in education and business. Back in the 80's and 90's they sent their best and brightest to universities here and they are the profs at the almost 20 world class research universities they've built since.

I am not clear on whom you’re chiding. USA or China?

Well America's shrinking influence is taking care of that with 20% control of the global economy. China, like Japan and South Korea, practiced mercantilist economic policies in the past, with America looking the other way for cold war reasons. How ever since the cold war, the international situation has changed considerably, America loosening its strangled hold over South America and Central America for instance.

don't cut them out, but make them supplemental...don't leave anything up to their good graces, or their temperamental negotiation style, but include them for as long as they play by the rules.
The lesson from Russia is to have domestic capacity for strategic resources.

With China getting a bit frisky in the west Pacific, we are well-advised not to let them make economic hostages of us that might figure into purely diplomatic issues.
