They're there to move the light up. The cords the light came with are too long but they're still attached for safety reasons.

Edit: I have little vertical room to move my lights up. They're hanging from an eyehook in a 2x4 that is as high up as you can get in my shed.
I understand, I had the same issue, where i used the small clips right through the eye hooks. just didn't use the cables. That is a smart idea to have them there for safety. i was thinking now that I spent all that money for them, i should protect them! I wish my home owners insurance would cover them!! haha

BTW.. your plants looks great!!!!

low 90's is better than 115!!! really hope they change over for ya.... I bet you're not gonna grow casey Jones anymore?!?!!?
ya thats for sure ill take 90F.lol

i will for sure still try casey its not her fault i out her threw hell.lol. its a amazing strain
Yo snapped a few more. I love these lights. I've never had girls look this healthy all the way through. The trichromes coming through already is fucking awesome. The LSD is finally starting to catch up. I think the slow start on the laggers may be due to me FIMing them.

Also, moving the light up a little definitely helped. I just pulled them up a couple of inches again after I took these pics. I have a little bleaching on one LSD girl but she isn't even the tallest one.

I'm glad I don't have heat issues like you. I have an a/c that's cranking the whole time but it keeps it no hotter than 88 and usually there is a 15 degree difference between the coolest and hottest temps of the day.

I think its the UV more than anything (I had tons of headless trichomes along with lots of fat ones on early harvested stuff), though I imagine the plants being able to grow so happily helps too

Now I could have sworn in an email from Mike...

Checking***

Ok I don't know what I'm talking about, but I just could have sworn I've read some where Mike saying there was UV, Why isnt there then?
uv is really used for the plants and some nm can kill them.

Chlorophyll Absorbtion Chart NanometersPAR Influences

200 - 280 UVC ultraviolet range; extremely toxic to plants.
280 - 315 UVB ultraviolet light; causes plants colors to fade.
315 - 380 UVA ultraviolet light; is neither harmful nor beneficial to plant growth.

well i am pretty sure i found a main reason why my girls are not flowering. i found this out by reading AN adds.lol. then dyna gro e-mailed me and told be the same thing.

the dyna gro is lower on mag because their additive mag-pro has some witch i wasn't using. turns out if mag is low the plants will be very very slow to flower and photosynthesis is be low or not at all. you want cal/mag at a 1:1 according to Dyna gro. but the AN add was talking all about that and Mag needed in flowering. a few of the sings i have and i can even see a Mag def on a few plants. i ordered some of their Mag-pro since the Dyna gro bloom has only 0.5% and the mag-pro has 2.0%

this could be a good reason why?

I'll be interested in the results once you try it. not trying to steer you but molasses contains a lot of magnesium.

Molasses is a great organic carb source to feed micro organisms in the soil. It is also rich in potash, calcium, magnesium and iron, not to mention other trace minerals. Plants love it! Although I've just started using it as a stand alone additive, I've used the Roots Organics Buddha Bloom for quite some time which is 100% organic flowering nute. A lot of people like to use molasses @ 1 TBSN per gallon. Blackstrap is the most nutrient rich form of molasses you can buy for horticulture.... Try mixing with slightly warm water, its a heavy syrup and does not mix easily.

yup he covered it for u bro.

here some stuff to look into thats even better. called sucanant, subcool the bredder talks about it on his thread if u google it.

now if going full organics and making teas molasses isnt a best choice it will throw off the microbes : fungi ratios and over power things. seaweed and humic acid as better for feeding the little homies in the soil.lol

here's some pics of the girls, tried to get a close up of them. they are starting to flower slowly and pushing out hairs. if u look hard in some pics i notice something that supports my theory on why they haven't been feeding, as you can see on a few leaves i have a Mag def. and what after i read and what i posted for u guys i am pretty sure this is the cause.

i just fed them with cal/mag and i have some Dyna gro Mag-Pro on its way. watch my girls will flower now probably.lol

learn something new everyday. never new mag had that much to do with flowering and photosynthesis and chlorophyll so much and it will delay flowering. funny how i post that info and look and my girls are showing a good sing of a mag def.lol

Lookin real good man... Magnesium rocks- I just discovered it for myself too. Got this stuff called "nature's calm" magnesium powder- wow. It relaxed me and helped me sleep better among other good benefits. One thing I read about transpiration is that high temps usually require more K (potassium) to support the high transpiration that cools the plant in the heat and also helps it to draw in all the other nutes. It's not a real world experience, but worth looking into for you maybe... As I told ya- I'm going to have fairly high temps in my grows too, so it's good to see u kickin pretty good ass in those temps...
