and on top of that depending on the media he's using it really could be more than 3 days promix sometimes takes 4-5 days to dry when really moist .. where as coco loco will be bone dry in 3 days generally

either way its acidic issues/overwatering/over feeding which all revolve around each other.. the media needs to really dry initially then be flushed.. wait three days flush again wait three days (id personally flush again) but you can go back to 1/4-1/2 strength then get on a proper schedule

and I'm not saying for certain in all cases the bottoms going to be more acidic than the top but in his case where the base is clearly not drying nor being flushed he's going to have more build up lower in the pot than higher up where its at the very least drying

everything falls down and sinks as your watering.. therefore the build of of chemicals will be stronger in the lower parts on the media where the water/chemicals sit and soak without properly drying..

what? i said the build up is going to be stronger in the lower part of your pot where the moisture generally stays .. where did you even get what you just said

the reason people do get deficiency is cause they are following proper feeding and not over doing and at some points there may be a extra need with the grows for secondary supplementing but generally your chemical feeds when properly followed provide everything your plant needs without excess...

and you should be giving about 3 days between watering like olive dab said

see... the build up is the issue no way in hell if he's feeding daily that theres cal mag deficiency and requires cal mag supplementing..theres no way he's deficient on anything.. stemo where the heck did you get that you not only water daily but to feed daily as well??? definitely get off...

well the top area isn't alway the most acidic generally in the lower half of the pot is where the soil becomes more acidic because thats where the moisture generally stays creating the build up.. i mean maybe the top will react though but the real buildups are occurring lower.

right but the point is everyones saying its cal mag deficiency without informing him that it could be a secondary issue causing that .. maybe he reads it and grabs a cal mag bottle and rams it down the plants throat which is pointless.. ya know what i mean

chances are if he's feeding a proper nutrient schedule and not properly flushing, his media ph is off and uptake isn't occurring properly along with acid build up.. now if he's flushing regular (which I'm sorry but i doubt) then yes maybe there cal mag issues.

if the soils not being properly flushed the chemical build up that occurs makes the media more acidic.. which in return to your favor can cause cal mag issues but are the issues it needs calcium and magnesium or are the issues he needs to flush his media and get it back to the proper ph levels...

im lost if anyone understands what happens when your feeding chemicals that are ph'd does everyone think that magically all the items you add to your media are used and disappear with zero residual?
