I'm going to start experimenting for all of the reasons you mentioned. Next year we are using a tractor for the outdoor. The o'l lady and I just can't move the dirt anymore and good help is nearly impossible to find. I just got these toys so I'm going to play a little bit.

I use my own mixes outdoors, But I have had some problems with my homemade soils indoors. FF takes the work out of it for me. I'm old and tired:)None of my (expensive) toys have worked for years:(

That's why I do it. Keep in mind though that it's numbers game. Obviously, the more you cut the more opportunity you have. I personally kept them in the fridge for over a month. Out of one hundred, about 1/3 rooted in a water cloner.

Listen to Hyroot. However, since you are already here, I use this putty tape all around the edges and replace it every time. Also do not run the cord out of the side. Run the cord through the top. These were built when it was worth it, but not now.
