Something defoliating, I don't know what it is. Give me a shot of the underside in a closeup and I want you to check around in the top inch or two of your soil for anything hiding. If you think your plants can spare them, just take off the damaged leaves and burn them.

If you're desperate for space you can always transplant to a lower profile pot. Roots just need space, not depth.

If you're going to go the predator route, buy lacewings, not ladybugs. Ladybugs are gonna love that light you got. Lacewings won't.

Buy deer fencing? I get 7feet tall by 100 feet long for 20 bucks. Keeps them out no problem.
