    seed help,plez help me out!!

    That's plenty. The root only needs to stick out 1/4" before planting, and even that isn't completely necessary since you can plant seeds with no roots sticking out at all and still have some grow. It may depend on your technique and how much root you need for it, but that can be planted in seed...

    Plant "rusting" and yellowing on side leaves, ridges of leaves curling upward. (PICS)

    Here's a pic of what Phosphorus def commonly looks like in veg. Just like with the pics in this thread, Phosphorus def in veg makes splotches of brown crispyness in seemingly random places on the leaves. This necrosis becomes more focused on the leaf tips during flowering. Magnesium...

    Plant "rusting" and yellowing on side leaves, ridges of leaves curling upward. (PICS)

    That's a typical symptom of Phosphorus deficiency. Keep in mind that many of those soil probes only work when the soil is very wet- almost mud. You may want to get some cheap wideband pH drops and just test the runoff to find the soil pH. Allow liquid to sit in the soil for at least a few...

    Keywords Needed for Search (About Basic Indoors Growing)

    Your title says indoor but a sunny veranda is outdoors. You might check the outdoor section, since that's where people make use of real sunlight to grow and normal daylight/nightime hours to flower naturally.

    I Made Some ISO Hash. Questions

    There's nothing wrong with your method. The way you made it is perfectly fine. However, if you try the same thing with buds, even small, less potent popcorn buds, you'll get a much stronger, smoother and more flavorful hash. Do let the water dry before trying it. Aside from being stronger when...

    I Made Some ISO Hash. Questions

    Leaves soaked in isopropyl alcohol will make a very low quality of hash, we're sorry to say. Much of the chlorophyll and other harsh stuff in the leaves comes over in the solution. What you have there might be more comparable to resin. We don't want to criticize your product, we just want you to...

    Watering Help

    It will depend on everything from the substrate makeup to the humidity. You'll want to water when about the top half of the soil is bone dry but there's no way to know how long that will take until you're growing the plants. Watering frequency also increases with plant size, so it will change...

    Anyone know what this is please help!!!!!!!!!!!

    Well if the light is three feet above the plants, it's certainly not light burn. The average 600w bulb with sufficient cooling needs to be a minimum of 13" away from the plants at all times. If heat isn't an issue, mature plants will grow fastest when the lamp is set to about 17-18" away each...

    skinny steam

    Luc is correct. When there is enough airflow to cause the plants to shake somewhat, the stems will naturally thicken to minimize the shaking, provided there is enough food to do so. The airflow is slowly increased as the plants get stronger, needing a stronger wind for the stems to thicken...

    Weird purple dots, purple/brown on crowns

    This is a good image of what Magnesium deficiency typically looks like. Similar examples can be found in Google images. The damage caused by Mg def. usually appears between the leaf veins with a rough, brownish appearance

    400 watt ballast help

    You may have burned out the ballast &/or capacitor running a bulb that draws more than the ballast is rated at. The only way to know for sure is to have someone experienced with working on electrical equipment properly & safely test it with a meter.

    The leaves look like the pH is off. What type of soilless grow have you got there? The "spots" look very much like Magnesium deficiency.

    Dying plant - possibly hopeless situation, need advice ;_;

    Just try to let the water soak in some before testing runoff. Even after the main runoff stops, more can be squeezed out by pressing on the soil or grabbing half of a handful and squeezing it after the water's had time to soak in. The sooner you test runoff after watering, the more you are...

    two 400w mh or 400w hps and 400w mh for seedling/veg

    We've been trying out GE PSL/XO 400's in all phases of growth with wonderful results. It's hard to compare them to our previous enhanced HPS's because they were 430's in a different grow setup, but we honestly can'y say the 430's did any better.

    Dying plant - possibly hopeless situation, need advice ;_;

    First off, credit for suggesting 6hrs of dark goes to DrFever. Your new pics are all nutrient deficient. When a growing plant doesn't absorb as much food as it is using, it begins to feed on itself. The lower, older, large fan leaves are usually the first ones the plant feeds on, like in your...

    Be sure to wait until the top half of the soil is bone dry before watering. Keep in mind that most healthy plants can survive for weeks with no water at all. Watering cycles should go from just damp enough that a handful of soil drips a few drops when squeezed, to completely dry about half of...
