Leaves can germinate already deformed. The plants always grow out of it. A little deformation in seedling leaves can also be caused by too much heat or light.

We're pretty sure that this one was either heat burned out light burned. While this particular one was probably burned, you should keep in mind that manure is acidic, drains very poorly and doesn't let alot of air to the roots. Peat, also, doesn't drain very well.

What exactly are you growing those in? Check the soil pH if you haven't yet.
