Hi Mo,
A greenhouse...cool. On the perlite...it depends a bit on the coco you use. Coco has various grinds and some of it can be super fine and pithy. The pithy stuff gets really saturated and doesn't drain as well. I use growstones and hydroton mixed in...because that's what I have laying...
Soil runoff ph isn't as accurate as it is with coco. And soil is very hard to change. I say forget it...water plant with ph 6.5 and just let it grow.

lol...I see what you're talking about. Never grown NL ...but have grown full-on Affies. Lots of leaves. My comment was based on that lower shot showing branchiness. I'm sure you'll tame her. Break out the whips and flogs if needed.
Cheers,
JD
You did good. Now give them some water only recovery time...and you should be able to decide if the plants deficiency is improving. I'm hoping it will.

This sorta cracked me up. I gotta say keep experimenting...it's a good attitude to have. My first grow was 45 years ago...not much technology back then. And our knowledge was pretty slim too. So you will, for sure, do better on your second grow then I did!
Kinda stoned...I'll shut up now,

Hi guys,
Somewhere along my path...I learned the best way to clean hydroton is: let them dry in open air outside if climate allows. All the root fragments just dry up and blow away...then a good soak/rinse and they're ready for reuse.

I focus on two main areas. Leaves and small branches way down low...they don't add much. And leaves at the center of the plant. When you train...you sometimes get leaves growing in odd angles. Plus all that leaf congestion is a humidity trap. So open up the inside and down below. Then take...
CC,
I would personally back off on the calmag. Don't use any and see what changes you get. Mg is the central molecule in chlorophyll and if you had that advanced a Mg deficiency...you would be seeing much worse issues.
If it gets worse...then you will know the problem. If it gets...
With such rich soil...you could be locking out something...probably K+ which also exhibits that striped leaf pattern. Tell us about your tap water. Really hard? Maybe something in your water is causing the lockout.
I have no experience growing with leds alone...but TC's assessment makes...
Hi CO,
I mix LED with CMH and am happy with the mix. The cmh with their infrared warms up leaves to open stoma...without having to have room at 80 degrees.
And my LED has spectrum adjustment so I can have more blues during stretch and more red finishing.

CC,
I'd defoliate the heck out of them...which will delay things a bit. Get your soil ussue resolved...before the flip. Just doesn't seem prudent to start flowering with a deficient plant.

Lovely plant DAT...perfect for scrog,
You mentioned not cutting down drip ring to bury in rocks. This is the first time I have done that. I like the no-splash aspect...but they don't put out as much lift when they're shorter. Wish I hadn't done it.
Cheers,
JD
DAT,
That's a Waterfarm for ya. I suppose it's due to the small res...but balancing nute level so plant uses nutes and water at same rates...is important with WFs. My experience is that to keep res from rising like that...I was under 700ppm. But of course...that was a different strain...
Pt,
You may not detect odors but by stroking the stem...and then sniffing fingers gives you that plant's scent...and you can smoke male flowers. Certainly not as powerful as females...but adequate for selection. (a DJ Short hint)
