Maybe you shouldn't run 24hour vegging light. Just one more thing to stress plant (for next run obviously)
For flowering with HID at least 40 watts/sf or 30watts/sf leds (due to greater efficiency)
What are your numbers?

Hey CC,
I was browsing the site and ran across a guy with sulfur deficiency. Looks similar...see picture. Review the stuff you put in it to see if maybe you shorted S. This is very rare but does happen.

I told him about the typo but he didn't fix it. He meant 4 to 5 weeks like in the title. He wants to do a perpetual harvest thing. Probably went back to GrassCity.

What manufacturers do is to provide N in a balanced manner. Using nitrates, ammonium and urea based N to buffer nutrients. Only problem is that it works best at specific concentrations.
I notice that with Maxi in that once I mix up a gal. The stronger I mix it...the more acidic it is (low...
CC,
50% would be good...but it might be hard to maintain at nearly 80. See how it goes. Many times, the plant transpiration takes care of the humidity aspect.
You should be learning...as this process develops. You are the gardener and we are the helpers. So try and understand the "why" to...
Hi Calvin,
This mirrored my own experience and what brought me to chemical nutes. If I lived in the country...I'd do organic. But for now...I'm using Maxi series and happy with the results.
That being said...I have an online buddy...an old timer like me...who loves AN nutes and also never...
Hi CC,
I move my plants around too. I have enough room to give me flexibility. I had three rooted clones sitting in bloom room to tell me gender of parent. "cloning for sex"
They were so tall...and took a month to confirm gender...so this morning...I up-potted them and am going to flower...
CC,
Especially late in flower...you will need to watch humidity closer. But your numbers sound OK to me. I personally consider VPD a guideline...something to shoot for. But learning to read plants is just as important.
Pleased to hear that the deficiency seems to be improving.
I have...
I've had taproots do that when I was using GA3...you didn't add anything when you soaked seed?
One little hint...those cotyledons are about used up. They may not even have enough ooomph to spread their leaflets. Maybe a very mild feeding might help it through. I'm talking no more then 200...
That's what I am working toward too. Running coco and waterfarm hydro. Sorry...I have old eyes and didn't read your game plan.
What you plan is certainly possible. I've seen guys do harvest every 3 weeks with 3 flood tables. That all seems too complicated to me. Having just one flower...
Hi Cp...
Following along...never done perpetual but find it interesting.

PS In your text post...you say 4 or 5 months. Confusing...so correct that if it's not too late.
I commented on your post because I didn't think it was good advice for a first time E&F grower. Just like the guy who commented that he floods every 15 minutes around the clock. Not pertinent (or logical)

I believe there was actually a commercial coco with hydroton. It was called chow...or maybe that was just the name that guys used when they mixed them together. But it seemed to work ok.
And I haven't noticed that growstones absorb much water. I like them because the leach silica...so...
Lazyeye...I did a 3x3 tray E&F for quite a fw years. 4 floodings daily during lights on worked good for me. I put plants in small square pots. Could fit 23 in my tray. I liked being able to move plants around as needed.
When growing in hydroton...they get plenty of oxygen. I think you are...
