That is a burn IMO, I have had leaves that look exactly like that, water got on the leaves during watering, didn't realize, they fried under the lights.

You may have them under too much light, how close are they to the 400watt light? Generally they will do fine with about 1000 - 2000 lumens, a cfl or fluorescent tube works great.

They will most definitely grow faster in the tent. I did that with a 400hps and cfls, it worked great, a bit of a hassle moving the plants back and forth, but totally worth it.

Not sure where you got that information, but a flush between veg and flower is not necessary. You're plants will be just fine, give them food that is what they want and need right now, they will be especially hungry as they transition to bloom and become more so as the flowers develop...

Thank you! I just found that info and came back to post it in case someone else comes looking. The do just flower on their own when they reach maturity.
