I thought flowering of tomatoes was NOT based on photoperiod? If it was a 12/12 period for induction, they wouldn't grow their flowers outside when the days are longest, they would flower in the fall just like weed. And I'm not looking to flower them now, this has nothing to do with impatience...

That is not true. CMH bulbs can be used in magnetic HPS ballasts only, at least thats the last thing I read about them when I was deciding on a light setup.

I experienced the same thing, compacted perlite. I read somewhere in the forums to pour all the water into the bucket in one spot, the same spot every time, and it's not supposed to be a problem anymore, thats what I'm doing now we'll see how it goes. I am going through the exact same thing...

I havent' tried it personally, but many have gotten good results using Dutch Master Reverse.

How long has it been vegging? Preflowers will appear when the plant reaches maturity.

That is entirely stain dependent. If you are extremely lucky it could be as little as 6 weeks, but it could also be as much as 16. More info is needed.

IDK WTF is going on there, but I do know thats exactly what the growth looks like when I take clones from a lady who is more than a couple weeks into 12/12, which I do regularly. It transitions to regular leaves over a week or 2 in my case, perhaps it will do the same for you? I get shitloads...

Thats a nice thought but not everyone has that option, and not everyone qualifies for a card. I live in a med state, and even though I have severe problems in my back caused by a genetic disease, it doesn't qualify, they are very strict here. If I hop over the border to Oregon, I can get it...

That really depends on what type of growing you're doing. Some things are better suited for coco, some better for perlite etc.
