You could probably take the meristem plus the first node down for a nice clone. Usually I think that would slow growth down significantly but you have a possible definite exception on your hands. It's so thick that doing so would prob help in the grand scheme of things.

You might want to be preemptive and transplant soon before they're completely root bound. I mean if you're going to transplant anyway you might as well do it before the plants gets uncomfortable. I just moved mine into 1 gallon Root Pots. I'll have to do it one more time right before flower.
