With that said, of course people should pay for that which they use. People should also have a choice of who they will purchase services from and never be compelled to purchase a so called "service" under threat. A "service" under threat is extortion if you or I do it, and is also extortion if people with fancy hats and titles do it.

I don't favor a central authority taxing anybody. The feudal system is outdated in my opinion.

In a competitive and natural free market, taxes would not exist but the services that people like and would willingly pay for would exist in a wider array of choices and at better prices. Competition creates better value for consumers, and if people aren't compelled to pay a sole monopolistic "service provider" protection money, society would take a great leap forward both technologically and morally.

Taxes are required to jail people at the highest rate ever and to dominate the world militarily, I'll agree with that. Taxes are not required to enable a peaceful society to function. In fact, WITH coercive taxes, you can NEVER have a peaceful society....it is self evident, as coercion and peace are opposites of a sort.

Public schools are funded thru force aren't they? So you are saying that the result you desire somehow makes it acceptable to threaten force on people if they don't share your desired outcome? How is that good? Isn't it better to let those that want something be free to pursue it and those that don't want something be free NOT to pursue it?

No, my solution promotes peace, yours promotes might makes right.

Without coercive taxes, people would still trade amongst themselves to get the things they need, some would undoubtedly combine resources and provide more efficient transportation systems than presently exist and any number of things that have been prevented from occurring due to the monopolistic and authoritarian models in existence today.

Also, for extra credit, how about explaining to me, why you find it acceptable to fund "public education" by placing some people under duress and threatening them with seizure of their homes. Do you like those kinds of tactics to achieve your version of a peaceful society?
