Is it going on tonight? Everything looks great Homer. Met up with KMK and tried out some of my 2 week cured G13 Haze. He can give you the smoke report - but we missed you. Interesting place and vibe. Anyway, looking forward to seeing the results here.

hey everyone,
first things first: the harvest is done.
. it took me so long to finish that most of you non-west coasters won't see this till tomorrow (monday). sorry about that, but hopefully the delay won't take too much away from the experience.
here's my plan of action.... reply to all your comments, vape up some fresh scissor hash, upload some pics, and describe the harvest process and outcomes. hope you enjoy!
well, turns out that "seed" either wasn't a seed or i lost track of it in the harvest... maybe it will show up later, but thanks in any case for the advice on how to deal with a fresh seed. i'm sure it will come in handy if not now, then for sure in the future.

i hope so too, but i misplaced that cola and i may never know lol. hopefully i'll see it when i jar the buds.

thanks for all the replies guys. i got back home from my trip at around 6pm. it took me about 4 hours to harvest. it's gonna take a while to upload the pics and everything but i'll say this:
the bad news: powdery mildew had a chance to spread during the 3 days of darkness. i couldn't get humidity low enough. anyway, long story short, a lot of the sugar leaves had PM on them, so i had to toss away the trim instead of saving it to make cannabutter. quite a shame, because there was so much of it and it was so damn frosty, but i don't want to take any chances with moldy butter. luckily the vast majority of the buds were PM-free, so i will make sure it stays that way through the dry and cure.
the good news: the wet weights of both girls surprised me, in a pleasant way. anyone who's still up want to venture a guess? i'll post the answer with the pics in my next post.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooo....I just powered through my trim session so I could post my update @ the same time...oh well, haha, glad all went well, sorry about the loss of sugar leaves, but oh well, right? Anyway, off to my thread to update...Yay for going to vegas in the morning!
BTW...Look like some quality, dank buds brother, can't wait till we get together for a lil smokey smoke. Well, you're coming back from a trip, and I'm going on a trip in a few hours...but it turns out our timeshare has free wireless, so I'm bringing the computer! noooooo...lol. sorry dude, i also wanted to post harvest pics at the same time but all the skiing really got to me, i was just exhausted last night. fyi, i was chopping and trimming between 6:30pm and like 11pm, so i'm sure our actual harvesting overlapped, right?
i'm gonna go check all the glorious details of your harvest in a min after i upload my pics. stoked you'll have the flipcam and computer rolling in vegas - we'll keep in touch! and then dueling smoke reports when you get back?

thanks dread! a big pic update is coming at the bottom of this post, but to answer your questions, i'm hanging them to dry in the closet... not in side the box, just on hangers in the closet. i have two true airs working blowing a little bit of fresh air up toward them, but very gently, there's no movement of the branches. temp is about 70 and humidity 40. hopefully this will work out, but i'll be checking the PM situation twice a day if i can. after 3-4 days of this, they go into glass jars, and i'll be reporting on the curing process, don't worry . from what kmk says, your g13 is DANK brother, can't wait to try some!
i decided not to reveg, partly because my gf is requesting a break from growing (you know how it is) and also because i want to start fresh with some healthy PM-free plants or seeds next time. don't wanna deal with the PM issue again, that's for sure. thanks bro.
stoney, yeah it was crappy throwing away all that trim (you'll see pics below), and i considered the idea of cooking it with the PM, figuring that the heat would kill any harmful spores, but my girlfriend gave me a worried look so i said fuck it lol.
thanks a lot stoney, you've given me great advice in the last couple months man. the scissor hash i didn't try yet, but i took a picture just for you (last one on this update). and the stinkiness is confined to the guestroom for now, so all is good
