What's up guys, starting this thread here to contribute knowledge to those of you out there wanting to push their growing techniques to the next level... I started and ran a hydro business in HC over ten years ago and have grown every style of hydro/aero that I could ever dream up... Chances are if you subscribe to this thread you will be one of those people that lays awake at night thinking about your next system.... I do not claim to know everything, And I still ask questions almost everyday to get reassurance but chances are I can help out a bit and show you the cheapest easiest way to take whatever space you have and make it into a hydro/aero garden that was outside your imagination... I will offer all the INS and outs, well beyond a simple response... Hope to hear from you soon... Also, would be stoked if some master gardeners drop by and want to help in responding to any questions, that would be great... Can't wait to hear from some dreamers out there... All questions Hydro/aero related welcome!

Best DIY aero flood table ive found. this is what i am running.. 4x4 81 holes 1kw light SOG

Using lucas formula, keepin ppms low around 300/400 going into veg (mixd up clones so cant take ppms 2 high)
noticed burning around 500ppm and ran into a cal/mg def, wich has been for the most part corrected.

how much would u recommend i add of cal/mag+ when i swap out my res?? how many ppm of just that should be in my water

22 gal rub maid tub res

(Aero Rules all)

What is an aero flood table? Hydro has flood and drain and aeroponics is just a mist or fogger in the rootzone. I need to know which you are actually running and do you have airstones in your res and are you using mag drive pumps at all... I noticed your tds readings, but didn't see what your ph was at either... What are you using for your base nutes and what additives outside of cal mag.... Without knowing all those things I can not give you a good answer but will tell you that I no longer use cal mag at all after vedge because it does have quite a lot of nitrogen in it. If your ph is dialed and you run a good quality base like any of the big name hydro nutes (AN, GH, DM, Canna etc.) you shouldn't need much cal mag at all... Airstones and pumps alter that... Be most careful of nute lock do to ph... Your PH is the most important factor to focus on in any hydro/ aero garden because of how sensitive plants are to uptake of certain nutrients... Hope there was a little help for you without actually knowing all the info needed for a full diagnosis but it sounds like you are going hard and I like that... 81 plants in a tiny space like that is working hard on your garden. Much respect!

TIP OF THE DAY!

Cover your growing medium up to the stems if you are not already using lids or are in neoprene with poly plastic to keep pests out of your rootzone.... Gnats have a way of finding anyway in they can to your rootzone and then feed off the roots and lay eggs which turn into little tiny worms some of you have seen in your rez and wonder where the hell they came from.... they will go right through Hydroton (expanded clay pebbles).... I no longer use any root medium, just 2 inch net-pots with the bottoms cut out and a 2 inch neoprene plug to hold stem.. From start to finish.... this has helped block out pests and elimiated the need for any medium... Many of you know how I feel about rockwool, so we won't even go there, but glad that clay and all the residue it drops is out of my garden as well and has been for a while.... Hope the tip helps some of you

I am looking to go Aero. i have been lookng around on a few different sites so I have a pretty good idea of what i want to do but I need some help getting this thing up and runnig. I was a bubbleponics guy but im over that now. I have a Iwaki MD-70RLZT and a Iwaki MD-70RLT water pump that i purchsed to get that out the way. I will be buying misters this weekend. Right now I am stuck tryng to figure out how to put all this together. I have seen vids where everything is ran thru .5 inch pvc but i still have no clue how to assemble. Would you be able to hepl me out with this? There is a thread on this site FATMANS medium pressure aero but it was just a getting started post and he was banned soon after so no more info but thats kinda what i was gonna build from. Any and all help would be wonderful. I just ordered some Kushberry and I would like to get this system up and running in time for flowering which is a few months away. There is a aero system that is on youtube by sure to grow (I think) and thats what I want to veg with, but on a bigger scale (40 clones), seeing that I only want to veg my clones for about 2 weeks.

This is the thread that got me started on my aero journey
