By all definitions, yes. Btw the major US reason for the invasion, weapons of mass destruction (lol) makes it as illegitimate as Russians invasion on Ukraine. Even worse, as they found none, while there are plenty of AZOV scum roaming around in Ukraine. But I don't expect you, indoctrinated Yankees, to get the picture :D

You realize that because Vlad made no formal declaration of war, or has no other form of international approval, that every Russian soldier in Ukraine is a criminal and could be imprisoned as a criminal under international law? That captured generals and senior officers will be shipped off to The Hague for very public and humiliating trials for crimes against humanity? They could get decades in prison and die there like Milosevic. There will be demands that Vlad take responsibility and exchange himself for these brave soldiers who were doing their duty!

I wonder about unintended consequences. The Chinese act for their not-always-transparent reasons.
That's a good word "unintended consequences",and the Chinese operate under a risk reward theory,if they put troops there that's risk as for reward I don't think good pub. cuts it,they'll def. want more than that, question is "what",the precedent of Chinese troops in central Europe is a difficult proposition to accept.

I'm talking about equal illegitimacy here, nothing more. I'm not supporting Vlad whatsoever
I don't equate the two,Saddam invaded Kuwait, got beat down by a UN coalition, signed UN resolutions ending it ,broke no fly zone resolutions, and Bush decided to take him out, yeah the WMD argument was a utter joke and bad intel, however Saddam was still in violation of no fly zone agreements,THAT alone gave cause for further action, and the fact that the US owned up to no WMD and took the PR hit without planting WMD as the Russians would have done surely by the way they operate.First Putin illegally seized Crimea, then fomented a rebellion in Donbas, then launched a invasion of a country completely unprovoked, straight out attacks on civilians, attack a nuke plant,REALLY, I don't equate the two wars,I think you are just a US hater.

No I'm not. I couldn't care lass about the guy. I am though very much willing to continue trolling about it for as long as you guys so passionately advocate complete and quite fascist boycotting of all Russian, especially sports and literature. Where do you all draw the hate from? Rocky films? Rambo? Are you aware of how vile your rhetoric is?
This luckily never happened to US, despite their numerous adventures. And it shouldn't be happening now. Enough with double standards
So imposing sanctions on an aggressor nation is fascist! Wow, the more I know!

Somehow, some Vladolf sycophant’s opinion of our rhetoric disappears next to images of civilian casualties in the victim nation.

A few thousand UN Chinese peace keepers in Ukraine are no threat, but it would be highly symbolic to the Chinese and would play one dictator off against another. They will dangle a Nobel peace prize for Xi, but Zelenskiy will get it, if he lives, if Xi thought he could share it with Zelenskiy, even better, he doesn't need the cash, but the glory might be irresistible!

With the whole Uighur mess, we can't really pretend that Xi is doing much better, but at least he keeps his mess in his own country (mostly).
But there is no way we can saintify him.

I hear ya,my northern neighbor, just like my Angela Merkel post,we are in unchartered waters and shoot out proposals in the "maybe it's worth a shot mode" due to the unsettling circumstances and horrific potential scenarios in play here, any thing that could resolve this would benefit the world, and provide a huge deep breath of relief, but I gotta admit any Chinese involvement here has my antennas up.

I'm sure it's been spit balled at state days ago, a lot of smart people there who are now showing their worth and why Trump tried to destroy them, you might as well disband the army!

Well I'm sure as I said before that this Russian experience must give pause to China as alot of their equipment is similar, and China despite the fact that their whole armed forces have been refitted w/new improved kit they possess virtually zero experience in real combat operations and they might want to dial down the kick ass rhetoric with which they have been talking recently about their prowess militarily, as the Russians had more recent exp, than China and look how that turned out,the Russian military is way less precise now,w/western blueprints in hand from prior operations(Iraq,Balkans.Iraq again) than the West was in the 1990 Gulf War,32 yrs and not even close to the efficiency IMO
