leaching vs flushing - what's the diff?

thanks for the reply j - thats sorta what i was figuring but i just see people referring to what i think is leaching as flushing. even my grow calendar calls for a last week of 'flush'. i figured this meant water with the usual amount just sans nutes but now that i've been introduced to the term...

    aerogarden anygood for newbies ?

i started with an AG that i was given as a gift. its an easy way to learn hydroponics but its really expensive for what it is and what it can do. my yield with the AG classic was 8 gr. on 1 plant (pathetic). with soil and 250 hps i yield around an oz per plant. personally i would use the $150...

6wk flower, leaves and stems turning red fast, should i be worried? '+PICS

i think u should stick with plain water for the final week. and the leaves dying is completely natural. the budding cycle completes as the plant prepares for death. so i don't know why (or at least i don't agree with) people adding nitrogen late into the flowering cycle. i've also read that...

    Growing tips for dummies.........

you could switch them to 12/12 now if you want to start flowering. don't mind my repetition but make sure you watering them enough (roughly a gallon and a half each) and keeping your ph around 6.5 (if you don't have a meter u can order one on ebay for 15$) and only watering them when the top...

week 3 flowering... can i go back to veg or too late?

u can but it will take a few weeks of 18/6 before it reverts. why not take some clones off her and veg those? it will take the clones a little longer to revert than if they were taken from a vegging plant but it should work and this way you can try out some of ur "black charlie" in a couple months.

    Growing tips for dummies.........

water them until there is good bit of run off; give them a good drink. i usually water my 3 gallon pots with about a gallon, sometimes 1 1/2 gals, about every 3 days. overwatering refers to too often; not too much. wait until the top inch of your soil is dry (use your finger and get used to...

    6.7 ph?

sry man - thought this was a dead thread. the way i check my soil ph is checking the runoff. ull need a plastic dish or something to catch the excess and u want to take care to make sure all the water ur testing has gone thru the soil, that is don't water the side of the pot. the first bit of...

Are my ladies flowering already ? w Pics

id switch them over now. gotta keep space in mind - as while as light penetration. unless you're using a 1000 watter and have atleast 8" of headroom in ur tent id switch cycles asap. they're gonna stretch out when you switch them over especially if they're not indica dominant strains (which...

    Somebody plz help seriously....... :,(

maybe this will help https://www.rollitup.org/advanced-marijuana-cultivation/48979-idiots-guide-coco-coir.html- it says your supposed to water about everyday with coco. also adding perlite is unecessary since u really can't improve on the porosity of coco. and your ph is def on the high end...

    Somebody plz help seriously....... :,(

SIMPLE, they're parched. You should be watering these ladies way more often than just 4-6 times a month. Growing in soil like i do allows for less watering than coco but even so I water about every 3 days.

    6.7 ph?

u mean for the soil or the water in the soil? for the water 6.7 should be fine. for the soil 6.7 is a tiny high wouldn't worry about it unless the plant was looking sad.
