Zinc Bromide GEL batteries. Cheaper, greener, simpler & safer than lithium -ion!
68,339 views Jun 5, 2022 Energy storage is becoming an increasingly crowded market which, at least at utility scale, is still dominated by lithium-ion technology. But cheaper, greener and safer alternatives are being developed all the time. One of the latest candidates uses well established zinc-bromide chemistry but with a completely new twist, all wrapped up in very inexpensive and easily recyclable packaging from existing battery production lines. Very clever!

Best city in the world, not joking.
As much as I complain about how things get worse, there’s nothing I missed more than Amsterdam during the pandemic. I've been catching up though, life's been pretty unreal lately. Forget a summer of love… it‘s the era of hedonism.

The guy in the pic in previous post is quite possibly a Brit on a stag party, we do love your stars and stripes… especially body painted on buttnaked women.

Current mayor in Amsterdam wants to close all coffeeshops for tourists and she can do it without city council's approval cause it's not legalized by law :/ 30 years ago there were 400, now 168, soon perhaps only ~70. Sure the weed and the parking is overpriced, and the hash isn't what it used to be, but not much beats sitting in a shop in Amsterdam watching people get high.

if you haven't watched the venture brothers on adult swim, do it now....i'll wait....see, fucking awesome, right?
Not right now, but I'll get to it
I only recognize three people in this pic, but Clinton and that man have been transposed. Billing Sanders as evil boils down to this.

My honor is named Loyalty.

Here is the patch of the operators who ran the death camps that killed over nine million, six million of whom were Jews.

That Death scull was also the insignia on the front of the caps worn by the officers of the Waffen SS

It was their motto

Pretty fucked up

I was a clergy husband for 20 years, we had 7 rural churches in that time (Methodists love to switch churches )
The churches we had were all white and almost all old. Very old, even. And all hard core Republican. It was the same way at virtually every denomination in every small town we lived in. Many of the churches we had existed due to the will of dead parishioners.
They're in a real death spiral out in the rurals.
I was just reading old posts & came across yours.

You sound like you've had a very interesting life

Nice :)

Anyway, I'm curious

Were you smoking back then or was it something that you didn't do?

There was a major breakthrough in solid state battery manufacture recently, they found that when sintering the layers together, that eliminating CO2 greatly reduced defects leading to much better results and this should be easy to incorporate into existing processes. The was another major breakthrough in lithium Sulphur batteries too that looks very promising and solves most of the issues with these batteries. The discoveries and innovations in the field of battery technology are happening almost weekly and many different electrochemistry's are being explored including Aluminum graphene.
