i honest to god don't know who A-rod is, nor do i give one shit...
not trying to be rude to you, just trying to convey how little i give a shit about celebrities of any kind...
they do a job, and some of them do it well. if they have advice to give about acting, or even living in that culture, then that would at least be a valid opinion. as far as their opinions on political, social, or technological matters...if they can't produce a degree associated with the subject at hand, they're just loud mouthed pricks with over inflated egos opining on subjects they know fuck all about...

i went to a shooting range with my girlfriend and a couple we're friends with the other day, had a lot of fun, blew through 300 rounds of 9mm and a couple of boxes of 20 gauge shells. there were a few people there, they came and went, from young to old.
right before we left, 4 young guys and a young girl came to shoot, all of them late teens early twenties. they had two big ammo totes each, and they went back to the parking area and came back with a foot locker...between them they had what looked like an older colt ar15, an ar18, an H&K g36, and a newer kalashnikov concern...the guys were all clean shaven, they were all neatly dressed, very republican looking. they even brought their own collapsible target stands.
a couple of them saw i was shooting a hi-point carbine, and asked me about it. we talked for a couple of minutes, they were creepily polite. then we took off, we were about out of ammo.
they creeped the ever living fuck out of me...in the back of my head there was a little lizard voice saying" one of these days you're probably going to have to kill a couple of these future fascist of America"...and the other voice i usually hear, that opposes the lizard voice and councils sanity was saying "yeah, and it may not be as long as you think..."
