And, you know I can't let it go without a retort.....

You see me as an evil ass, racist, violent, nigger who just wants to "slap" people

NO.....

Your only one thing to me, Moe.....ignorant....no more, no less.....how could I "dislike" you for being something you have been taught to be, something you have been forced to regurgitate. It might be time to grow up though, for your kids sake, and their kids sake....

and I see you a bitch ass, racist, white boy with a whole lotta mouth (over the net might I add).

It might be time to grow up though, for your kids sake, and their kids sake....

How right you are my animated arrogant friend & we all should put that pearl of wisdom to use...:hump:

I believe I understand ccodiane's point. He claims such language is fair game for everyone. He rejects verbal segregation. That's the subtext of , 'It's our word.'

Here is my objection to the 'That's our word.' argument. When it is acceptable for you to say something race related, but unacceptable for me to say, this soon creeps into all areas.

Take the Governor of New York, for instance. He complains that he is called a name, the Accidental Governor, because he is black. He gives examples of white politicians in similar circumstances claiming they were not called those same names. He was wrong, they were called the exact same thing. My point is he deflected criticism using racism as the reason. The race card.

That is what I fear with the Obama election. If he wins, any criticism of him will be automatically deflected as bigoted. The race card.

"Mr. Paterson also suggested that the defeat of Senator Obama by Senator McCain in the presidential contest would be a victory for racism." The race card.

Paterson Implies 'Accidental' Racism - July 18, 2008 - The New York Sun

Police are tentatively planning for riot responses ala Rodney King, if McCain wins.

No matter what I do, as long as I do not wholeheartedly support Obama, I am a bigot in the eyes of many. Dissent is verboten. That is what is known as using race as a political club.

I wince whenever I hear, 'That's our word.'

I want to be clear. I do not wish to ban anything. Sometimes one can only express oneself using a particular word. No other word would have the same impact.

I can object to the use of such words just as others may choose to use them.

It's all good under the 1st Amendment.

Dub, I don't know about the 1st part of your statement Nigger meaning illiterate (and Yes I know what Mr. Webster says but we've all been wrong before) Now on the other hand you pulled the 2nd part of ya comment out ya ass I aint heard that in at least 12 or 13 years however I know Nasir Jones put this lyric on his new album but this is an original statement from "Eazy- E" of NWA in 1991 and it actually went like this “I’m A Nigga, He’s A Nigga, She’s A Nigga, We Some Niggaz ,Wouldn’t You Like To Be A Nigga Too?”
